That edit between the bone and Nuclear platform could’ve been just a tiny bit tighter. Always bothered me. Also in the film, there is no way for the audience to KNOW it’s a nuclear weapon. It just looks like a space station. If they KNEW what it was, it would’ve had more impact

Good points from an expert. I see why now leathercrafters generally look down on Saddleback Leather and its deceptive marketing. I was getting ready to buy a SBL backpack but have decided to use that money to buy the tools, learn the craft, and one day build a backpack of my own specs.

Good Review. I wouldn’t say it’s Retarded, LMAO, but it is amusing to hear such a detailed and opinionated assessment. I agree with some of the points but the greatest takeaway is that folks have different ideas of use. The Yankee accent, Religious, and Southern comments fit the profile perfectly. Like I say, I appreciate the blunt candor. I have quite a bit of Veg Tanned Leather and understand and appreciate the difference. You make a great point about the difference between making one briefcase at a time for a rich yankee atheist doctor or lawyer, and supplying a broad demand for retarded southern outdoorsmen, blue collar workers, and college kids in jeans. Down here “briefcase” is probably a bit of a misnomer. We don’t limit use of the Saddleback stuff to briefs, underwear or paper. I carry guns, tools, iPads, water bottles, cameras, lunch, ammunition, books, knives and such stuff. The Backpack adaptability being useful as well. As for the practicality of a College Kid spending $700 on such an item, I’d say it’s completely practical when The President is cancelling your student debt. When it comes to College, Practicality went away decades ago. So all in all I appreciated your detailed informative and entertaining opinion. ;)
